A Little Bit About Me:

As a Bloomington native, our downtown area and its locally-owned and operated businesses are very precious to me.  However, there are a few other locally-owned businesses that I also have a great appreciation for, even though they are outside of Bloomington/Normal (but still within a very short drive).  I LOVE to go out to eat (as do most McLean County residents), and I make a strong effort to frequent only locally-owned restaurants.  If you would like to know a few of my favorite places, visit my "Nick's Picks" page!

Why hire me...?

Real estate has always interested me.  I have been fascinated by the grand impact of real estate trends on the economy, and vice versa, for as long as I can remember.  Since obtaining my Illinois Real Estate Broker's License years ago, and later obtaining my Illinois Real Estate Managing Broker's License, I have enjoyed studying the trends, and watching and helping the industry evolve into what will become a more stable pillar of the American business world.  As the Owner and Managing Broker of Main Street Brokers & Associates, I have a passionate interest in helping you along the path of your real estate endeavors.

More practical experience...

My family owns and manages multiple residential, student, commercial and storage rental units in Bloomington/Normal, as well as other communities, in two states.  My immediate family has been in the rental business for over 25 years, while my extended family has been in the business for over a century!  My involvement in this business, in addition to my experience with other management companies, has been a real highlight of my life.  I never seem to grow tired of property management, as it is an ever-changing industry.

As a Real Estate Broker, I take my business and personal involvement in the local community VERY seriously!  I am the President of the Central Illinois Landlord Association.  For several years, I sat on the Board of Directors and served as the Vice-President of the Old House Society, where I also served on the Public Relations Committee, the Finance Committee, the Capital Campaign Committee and the Marketing Committee.  Additionally, I am a former Board Member of the McLean County Apartment Association.

My long history of property management and business management, including the development of large commercial properties throughout Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, and Missouri, has allowed me to hone my skills in many different areas.  Of course, I am a firm believer that "it is always possible to cut costs without cutting corners!"
