Information about the new owners will be posted soon!

In the meantime, you may view the information about Duncan Manor's previous owner, Diane Sullivan...

Diane was busy managing property in Florida, for investors, from 1984-1996.  She quickly found out that she had a knack for real estate and was soon managing 50 rental units as well as 8 luxury beachfront condos.  Diane handled all facets of the business from assessing properties for purchase and marketability, to supervising contractors during remodeling, accounting, decorating, furnishing, and maintaining the properties, as well as marketing properties once completed.  In 1990 Diane took on another career, in addition to real estate, when she accepted a position as the general manager of a large home furnishings and interior design store.  Somehow, she found time to manage 9 departments and 125 employees in addition to her real estate business.

In 1990, Diane met a builder with a background in historic preservation, and they were married in 1998.  Diane became an integral part of the construction company, while simultaneously maintaining her other jobs.  At this time, Diane was also raising 5 children, 3 dogs, and 2 cats.

In 2000, Diane’s father was diagnosed with a terminal illness and desperately needed someone to help care for him, as well as Diane’s younger brother.  Diane was the only one in the family that was able to relocate to the Midwest.  Subsequently, she relocated to the Bloomington area — a decision that she was VERY pleased with.  In the years that followed, Diane owned and operated a construction company specializing in historical restoration.  Diane also accepted a position with a large real estate franchise, at which she excelled by specializing in older homes, and the "first time home buyer" market.  She was ranked in the top 7% of realtors with the franchise, worldwide.  Later, Diane moved her Illinois real estate license to Main Street Brokers & Associates, a local agency, owned by a dear friend.  Diane has worked on numerous projects, which have included homes listed on the National Register.  While in Bloomington, she also purchased, renovated, and sold many homes which enabled her to establish an excellent reputation for providing superior quality, as well as paying close attention to detail.  Diane was also very involved with the Old House Society of McLean County, and even served as President in the past.  Diane was also a commissioner on the city of Bloomington's Historic Preservation Commission.

Diane is grateful to Mr. Dan Greer for allowing her to purchase Duncan Manor, and she hopes to see someone follow in her footsteps by tackling the challenges and opportunities presented by restoring this magnificent home to its original grandeur.  Diane is also grateful to, and humbled by, the many members of the local community for the outpouring of support for this project, as well as the contractors who donated their time, materials, and effort to make this dream a reality.

Diane has high hopes for the next owners to carry the torch, and wishes them well on their journey!

While Diane's Illinois real estate license is still active at Main Street Brokers & Associates, she is currently living back in Naples Florida, and has started her own agency called Naples Beach & Bay Realty.  Diane will continue to actively operate in both states.

Thank you for taking the time to find out a little about Duncan's Owners!
